St. Cecilia Concert - Zig Zag concert Report
What a fantastic title for a group of very versatile singers. The four ladies who belong to the sixty plus strong Surrey Harmony visited us to provide the entertainment for this year's concert in honour of St. Cecilia. Despite the low turnout due to various clashes in the local area, the small though appreciative audience gave a warm welcome to the quartet of singers who delighted us with their Barber Shop harmony. Their repertoire was varied and entertaining and I am sure they enjoyed the evening as much as the audience did.
Our thanks must go not only to the group Zig Zag but also to the ladies who provided the refreshments during the interval and to Godfrey Nicholls and his helpers for a most enjoyable evening. The proceeds of approximately £100 are to go towards our total commitment to the YMCA housing project in Redhill. I do hope we will be able to hear them again at a later date.
