Our Minister

David began his ministry at Redhill United Reformed Church in May 2016 as our part time Interim Minister. For 37 years he was a Civil Servant working in many different locations in the UK, Doncaster, Abertillery, Brixton, Cambridge, London, Ayslesbury, Southall and finally Cardiff. He comes originally from South Wales is married has two married sons and four Granddaughters.

Following his retirement from the Civil Service he trained for ministry at Northern College in Manchester. Since his ordination as a minister in 2000 he has been the Mission Enabler for the United Reformed Church Synod of Wales, District Minister in East Wales, Community Minister in Caterham. He has also ministered to the churches in Wimbledon and Herne Hill before beginning his ministry at Redhill.

David has had a life-long involvement with the Scout movement, he began this as a Cub and at the end of his time as a youth member became a leader. Currently he is a leader in the Scout Group based at the United Reformed Church in Caterham and he holds appointments related to the training of leaders. He is also the National Scout Chaplain for the United Reformed Church.
